the finals

i received a phone call 2dae whilst i was doing project ard 4pm.. WE GOT IN!! for those who know/reads tis blog (not many nway, but i intend to keep it tt way), ull probably noe wad im talking abt.. for those who don't, u noe wad number to call to find out more=)

lemme share wid u guys wad actually happened these few days:

haha e results supposed to be out on e 21st, i checked late tt day, siao liao.. deres nothing in my inbox.. was prepared for the worse.. was thinking that mayb they already contacted the shortlisted teams, but probably are taking their time to inform the teams who are not shortlisted.. but hey, its a public holiday! so maybe deres a hope that they might release the results on saturday!

den.. come sat, i called them in e morning to get connected to the answering machine, "our office hours are mondays to fridays, XX time to XX time" irritating.. its gonna be a kancheong wkend..

farked.. tis realli is getting nowhere.. but nothing i could do, so waited till mon to call em.. called for almost the whole afternoon, onli managed to speak to the point of contact after like 3hours?! "we are still in e midst of selecting, will release in a few days time, check back like wed or thur" haha i pity the point of contact though, imagine the number of teams calling her up to check the status! but.. HENG AH, results not out yet.. so still got chance..

cui-ed.. from fri till monday n now we are supposed to wait till wed/thur.. doesn bode well eh.. its like.. nothing seems to come our way.. like some premonition tt ure farked! but i guess it wasn an outright 'we regret to inform u..' so, i was thinking, maybe still got hope..

DEN.. juz when i wasn expecting it.. todae.. on a lazy tuesday afternoon when i was just starting on a boring school project.. an unknown number called at 4pm.. WE MADE IT!! WOOHOO... we have arrived=) SONGBOH!!!


haha the moral of the story:

1) deadlines are deadlines, if u dun adhere to it, ure farked.. u get the whole world nervous abt it, and at the same time, u get swamped by the phonecalls enquiring about the results

2) it makes it all the more sweeter, when ure preparing urself for the sad news, and a totally great news comes along=) its an emotional torture though.. keeping ur fingers crossed, praying for the best, but at the same time, preparing for the worst..

3) when u put 3 cockanadens together from ntu, nus and smu, majoring in entirely different fields to do a case, and u geh kiang decide to Not enlist the help of a prof even though ure entitled to one.. u get a team that got into the finals.. HAHAHA

4) the feeling of good frns chionging for sth together, and in the end achieving sth together, is indescribable=) i guess the feelings of winning the NMC and SYF might be similar.. but hey, its still miles off!! SYF we are expected to win.. we are just dere to NOT cockup, n the trophy is in the bag already.. NMC, well tt one i alwis competed alone.. great results yeah, but no 1 to realli share with..

this case thing.. 3cockanadens plus 1realli nice frn who helped us out=) NO ah lao to kaobei us, everything we do ourselves, no 1 expected to win anithing but put in our veri best nonetheless.. and tts wad made it all the more sweeter=)
